Course description:

Participants will learn how polyurethane grouts are used for diverting water infiltration in parking garages, water treatment plants, transportation tunnels and sewer systems.
The various methods of evaluating and preparing sites and material selection to repair cracks in concrete infrastructures are reviewed.

At the end of this program, participants will be able to:

  • Compare hydrophobic versus hydrophilic polyurethanes as to how they cure and divert water
  • Explain product performance features for selecting the correct polyurethane resin for the application
  • Evaluate the best injection options based on environmental conditions surrounding the repair area
  • Examine case studies of previous challenges regarding selection of material and methods of application
